From a safe and comfortable environment, you will be guided to explore sensations in your physical and emotion body. From this awareness, you will be given tools to use to find a sense of balance and stability. As you progress your will start to become aware of ways that you can move through your life in a safer, and more balanced manner.


For example:
When you are intensely working on a computer do you start to lean into the computer? Does this start to create a stiff neck, and tension in your eyes?


As you start to notice this trend you will be able to make the necessary adjustments in the moment, keeping you free from neck and eye strain.

There are so many small things that we habitually do through out our busy lives that start to create stress and unbalance within our bodies, and emotions. Simply becoming aware can go a long way to releasing tension, and moving through your life with ease.

You are not your condition!  In your personalized Pain Care Yoga Therapy session we will look at you as a whole person.
Using Breath, meditation, thoughts, and movement to create a program that will help you live well with your body.

Yoga Therapy works well with other forms of therapies such as Chiropractic, Physio Therapy, Massage etc. The other Therapies traditionally work on an individual condition whereas Yoga looks at the body, mind, and spirit.

Children and adults of all ages and abilities can experience the self-regulating, calming, body awareness, and flexibility benefits of yoga through an individually designed yoga program. During the 30-minute sessions we will explore breath and movement through yoga postures, mindfulness activities, games, music, and play. Your Certified Yoga Therapist has experience working with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, as well as a variety of anxiety and emotional based challenges. The programs are delivered in 30 minutes sessions in the Maple Ridge Sunflower Yoga studio.
